Worry is not thoughtful
I feel as though all this distrust is very absurd.

Well, any comments about this?

'Two for the Money': a decent picture
I went to the movies yesterday and saw Two for the Money, by D.J. Caruso. I found it pretty nice.

Worth seeing, anyway.
The cinematography and the dialog are okay.

Fresh from the wire
Independent: Shannon to stay with police.

Detectives were given a further 24 hours yesterday to question the man found with missing schoolgirl Shannon Matthews, as the head of West Yorkshire police mounted a robust defence of one of his force's most expensive operations.

Now spinning: 'Underground Kingz'
Currently spinning: 'Underground Kingz', UGK's new disc.
Maybe I had completely incorrect assumptions about UGK. It wasn't for lack of exposure - Mike is a huge fan.
There are some addictive tracks on the CD.

Now spinning: the new Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals disc
I bought Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals's 'Lifeline' last week. I've always been into pop music.
Maybe I had completely incorrect assumptions about Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals.
The CD strikes a chord everytime I play it.

A wonderful movie
John and I saw a screening of 'Duma' last night. Not much to tell, except that it features Alex Michaeletos. Carroll Ballard did simply a fabulous job. Campbell Scott gave a terribly silly performance though.

What are your thoughts?

Lunch
Wednesday Pete and I had lunch at Mardello, a fine Italian restaurant. A colleague recommended it to Pete. We ordered some wine. Pete took charge of ordering the menu. The menu was printed on a tissue thin piece of paper. It was really crowded.

I was recommended the carpaccio, which was excellent and Pete chose the lasagne, which was ok.
They had life music. The service was a highlight. You should go there if you're in the neighbourhood.

An Ocean Between Us
I just downloaded 'An Ocean Between Us'. If you like hardrock you should enjoy this CD. Somehow As I Lay Dying never touched me. The scope of music on An Ocean Between Us is quite broad. Repeated listenings do infuse the melodies into your brain.
